Monthly Archives: September 2013
My girls watching a documentary about their favourite pop band earlier today and I thought it would be interesting to map out our favourite band’s/singer’s journeys as they travel around the world on tour. I expect they clock up some air miles!
There are lots of exciting things taking place this month.
4th-10th October World Space Week
4th October World Animal Day
13th October World Conker Championships
31st October Halloween
Look online for more details of events and competitions to get involved in.
I think we all agree that the sunflowers in our school grounds have been a delight to see and have certainly brightened the place up. It is sad to see them begin to wilt, however our children have been amazed to see how many seeds one head produces and it is encouraging to know that these will all be planted to bring more pleasure next year. Thank you gardeners!
It was great to be back at forest club. Welcome to our many new members. We had a great time and thank you to the girls who rebuilt the campfire base.
We had fun this afternoon in Year 1 talking about our journey to school and what landmarks we pass on the way. The children drew some super maps.
I trust you have had a fantastic holiday and that you have been out and about exploring our fabulous country or abroad.
My new header is a picture I took in Clacton as we were crabbing which is a favourite holiday activity for my children.
What have you been up to?
Send me any photos of the places you have been to this summer, I would love to see them.
Here we go with the new term. I hope to share with you all the fabulous things our children get up to at school as well as lots of ideas for things to create, discover and explore at home.
