Environmental Day

On Friday we had a fantastic day creating sculptures from recycled materials.
In Nursery the children used bottle tops to create the Hungry Caterpillar and the rest of plastic bottles to make beautiful flowers.
Reception children created a ginger bread house out of a variety of recycled materials.
Year 1 painted tin cans to make totem poles, planted plants in old tyres and made flowers out of plastic bottles.
Year 2 are building a willow den on the school field.
Year 3 painted tin cans to make colourful pots for planting flowers in.
Year 4 wrote fabulous poems and made their own frames out of twigs as well as building 2 new members of Abbots Langley School!
Year 5 painted tin cans to create wind chimes.
Year 6 also designed and painted tin cans to make wind chimes.
A huge thank you to parents for all your donations of materials.
