It was lovely to see the children working so well in groups today. Lots of support and helpfulness on show!
The children discovered what Stone Age people used to make jewellery and then used clay to create their own designs.
As part of their Stone Age topic, the children learnt weaving techniques and tried to use all natural material. The tepees looked fantastic.
When we saw the weather forecast we had a quick change of plan and decided to make kites with the Reception children. We used card, string and sticks to make our own kites, went outside to try them out and finished off with a good sing along to ‘lets go fly a kite’ from Mary Poppins.
The children have started their new topic about space so we found out about the amazing planets and used card and wool to create some fantastic artwork.
