World War 2 Tea Party for our Grandparents

We had a wonderful tea party this afternoon in the Lodge. Our Year 6 children shared all their wonderful work from this term with their Grandparents, served them tea and cake and gave them a tour around the Dig for Victory garden. Thank you to all our visitors for supporting this event.

Photographs from Year 5 Trip to Condover

I had an amazing few days at Condover Hall with our brilliant Year 5 children.  Lots of learning going on in the great outdoors but more of the character building and teamwork variety. I saw patience, endurance, perseverance, encouragement and support for others in abundance. We are very proud of all of our young people.  I hope these pictures give you an incite into the wonderful time they are having. Enjoy. Mrs Hillx

What the Ladybird Heard

Our Reception children loved reading this fabulous story by Julia Donaldson outside this morning followed by reinacting the story, complete with duck pond and completing lots of fun activities.

The children had the opportunity to create a farm using the toy animals, help each other around a blindfold trail, draw maps of the route the robbers took and practice balancing.  Such a lovely morning with great learning taking place.

Making wooden frames in the forest

There was some super teamwork on show today in the forest as the Year 3 children made picture frames using twigs and string. I think this window frame is amazing.

British Birds in Reception

The children painted some beautiful British birds for our Outside Education display. We had a lovely discussion about which birds the children had seen in their gardens recently.
